Nestled at an elevation of 453 meters, Yaedake is like a whimsical wonderland adorned with the charm of Ryukyu Kanhi cherry blossoms lining a delightful 4.5-kilometer path to the summit. These enchanting blossoms grace the landscape from mid-January to early February each year, creating a picturesque scene.
For a dash of adorable delight, you can effortlessly ascend to the summit by car, turning your journey into a cherry blossom-filled joyride.
And here’s the sweetest part: until February 4, 2024 (Sunday), a lively festival awaits, featuring delectable treats and entertaining stage events to add an extra layer of cuteness to your Yaedake adventure.

Nangusuku Park -Nago
In the beautifully maintained Nago Castle Park in Nago City, Okinawa, the “Kanhi Zakura” blooms with its intense pink petals from late January to mid-February. On January 27 (Saturday) and January 28 (Sunday), the Nago Sakura Festival takes place, centered around Nago Castle Park, featuring a special stage at Sakura Park Festival Square, Nago Crossroads Avenue, and within Nago Fishing Port.

The “Nakijin Gusuku Sakura Festival,” held to coincide with this delightful season, is immensely popular as it brings out the charm of the Nakijin Castle Ruins. In 2023, the festival takes place from January 21 (Saturday) to January 29 (Sunday). During the evenings from 18:00 to 21:00 throughout the event, there will be a mesmerizing illumination to enhance the enchantment.
